Had Regional meet today!
Top 4 places in all events get to go to states!
4x8 was first. We got 4th place!
4x4 was last. We got 2nd! The only team that beat us was the CRAZY team where each girl runs around a :55 or better. My time was 59 somethin again :DD
so..
GOING TO STATES NEXT WEEK!
The NCHSAA State 4-A Championships in Greensboro, NC were on Saturday.
We skipped 4th period Friday and stayed in a hotel :3
The 4x800 was up first and I was running 3rd leg. Our 1st leg handed off in probably 2nd or 3rd place. At the hand off to me we were in 1st! I knew I wasn’t going to keep us in first, but I handed off in 2nd place!
I ran a low 2:23 or high 2:22.
We ended up in 6th :(
But now I remind myself that it’s the very first season than any of us on the relay team have ever run the 800 —- and we beat 10 other schools at the meet, leaving us 6th IN THE STATE.
Then at the end of the meet we ran the 4x400. I ran first leg as always and handed off in 2nd place. I ran somewhere in the late :58’s or low :59’s.
We ended up getting 6th place again.
And now our coach is wanting to send us to Nationals??
